Havdallah with AVODAH Alum

Havdallah is a ritual celebrating the end of Shabbat that enables us to carry the sweetness of the Sabbath into the next week. The Chicago AVODAH alum hosted us for a havdallah service and we spoke about how AVODAH has influenced our perspective on how we can best serve in communities. Each event that I have had across the country has been very different and this one was no different. It was such a unique experience to feel that everyone had taken away similar sentiments towards community and service and formed similar bonds that we had living in DC. Dear David Rosenn, Founder of AVODAH, your mission has succeeded. These are multiple years of AVODAH Corps members, sitting together and realizing they have a collective insight into how to repair the world. Here we are in Chicago!
